Mrs. Peggy Chance Griffin, 83,  passed away Sunday November 27, 2016 at her home.  Born February 26, 1933 in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Luther Thomas Chance and Hollie Elizabeth Chance. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Patricia, Mary and Richard Chance and a daughter, Lynn Cheshire.  She was retired from Yale-Norton after 30 years.

Funeral services will be 11AM Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Centerview Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will greet friends Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her husband of 66 years, Graham Worley Griffin; daughter, Martha Jackson and her husband Ben from Concord; son, Mike Griffin and his wife Pam of Marshville; grandchildren, Laura Boucher and her husband Shane, Drew Cheshire and his wife Mandy, Tara Cheshire, Melissa Griffin and fiancé Christopher Kernaghan, Amanda Wallace and her husband Tristan and Holly Griffin; great-grandchildren, Leah Boucher, Cameron, Katy, and Jonah Cheshire, Joseph and Caroline Kernaghan.   sisters, Gloria Rodden and husband Bo of Waxhaw and Jane Chance of Charlotte
