Obituary

Peachland – Mr. Phillip Franklin Caudle, 90, died Saturday, August 13, 2022, at his home.  Born July 5, 1932, in Union County, NC he was a son of Joseph Caudle and Georgia Wright Caudle.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, JW Caudle, Charles Caudle, Inez Picklesimer, Peggy Cranston, Rex Caudle and Anita Taylor.

Phil grew up in Peachland, NC.  After high school, he was drafted into the army and served two years of active duty and six years of standby reserve.  Most of his life he worked in construction with various companies before being employed by Campbell Construction Company of Monroe from which he retired.  He was an active member of Deep Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, church treasurer and on numerous church committees. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and was always present for activities involving the grandchildren which he dearly loved.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Phil will be 11 am, August 18, 2022, at Deep Springs Baptist Church with the burial to follow at the church cemetery. Family will receive friends following the service by the graveside.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Caudle; children, Tracy Caudle (Cindy), Cindy Nance (Scott), Christa Burns (David), and Terry Caudle (Brandy); grandchildren, Eric Nance, April C. Mullis (Kevin), Kyle Caudle, Phillip Burns, Matthew Burns, Brianna Caudle and Taylor Caudle; one great grandchild, Raelynn Mullis; brother Roy Caudle.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to his caregivers Anne Gaddy and Donna Helms. They would also like to thank Hospice of Anson and Union County for their services.
