Marshville – Mrs. Phyllis Ann Plattenberger Belk, 76, of Marshville, went home to be with our Lord Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Atrium Health in Monroe.  Born December 7, 1943 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Jamie and Pearl Mullis Plattenberger. She was also preceded in death by children, Ronald D. Mullis, Johnny Belk and 8 of her siblings.

Phyllis was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother.  She was an active member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Monroe.  She worked at Alisa Knitting in Waxhaw for over 20 years.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Phyllis will be 11 AM Wednesday at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2021 Claude Austin Road, Monroe with burial to follow in the Lakeland Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM in the church's sanctuary.

Mrs. Belk is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Gary Belk; children, Ginger (Terry) Burgess, Wayne Mullis, Christopher Belk, Michael (Leah) Belk and Vanette (Randall) Epps.; brother Thomas Plattenburg; grandchildren, Cheryl (John) Batykefer, Crystal (Rick) Cooke, Todd (Jennifer) Burgess, Zackary Mullis, Dylan Mullis, Whitney (Dan) Becker, Jarrod Belk, Tessa Belk, Joshua Belk and Cullen (Ashley) Belk.; great grandchildren, Will, Taylor, Justin, Abby, Tinsley and Eden; numerous nieces and nephews.
