Marshville – Mrs. Pauline (Polly) Griffin Marsh, 90, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Union County on February 4, 2021.  Born in Union County on September 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James Homer Griffin and Lydia Odell Kiker Griffin.

Polly graduated from Marshville High School in 1948, where she played on the Varsity Basketball Team. After graduation she began her career working in the Pharmacy at Guion Drugstore and later Marshville Drugs until her retirement. Polly loved working in her yard and garden and helping others. She was the pet parent to her beloved cats, Belle and BB. Polly was a very dedicated volunteer at Autumn Care Nursing Home's Bean Auction and enjoyed delivering weekly meals to those in need for Meals on Wheels.  Traveling with friends, especially the "Mystery Trips" was an activity that Polly enjoyed after her retirement.

Polly was preceded in death by her husband, WA (Wayne) Marsh, her parents James and Odell Griffin and siblings, Louise Griffin Wright and Nelson Griffin and sister in law, Martha Jane Griffin.  She is survived by brothers, Phil Griffin (Myra) and Wayne Griffin and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Due to health concerns for the pandemic, a funeral service to celebrate the life of Polly Griffin Marsh will be held graveside on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Marshville City Cemetery.   The public is welcome to come by Morgan & Son Funeral Home in Marshville to pay your respects on Saturday, February 6 ^th ,  from 1 pm to 3 pm. The family will not be present.
