Mrs. Rachel Curlee Faulkner 90, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Autumn Care in Marshville.
Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Saturday 17, 2016 at the Peachland Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in the Peachland Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour before the service in the Church's fellowship hall.
Rachel Faulkner was born January 19, 1926 to the late Edd and Carrie Curlee. Rachel's career with the US Postal Service spanned 38 years retiring as Postmaster. And in her words she loved every minute of it. Aside from her work she was an active member of the Peachland Baptist Church and also very involved in the community.
She was the best mother and grandmother we could ever wish for. We love you more than words can say.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Faulkner. She is survived by two sisters, Louise Litaker and Gladys Caudle of Charlotte and a sister-n-law, Eva McCullough, of Hamlet. She is also survived by her son, Robert M. Faulkner Jr. ( Linda) of Marshville, daughter Judy Garris ( Steve ) of Peachland, grandchildren Kim Stone, (Aaron) of Atlanta, GA , Tony Faulkner (Kim) of Indian Trail and Derrick Faulkner (Jessica) of New Salem, and five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to the caregivers. Betty Stegall, Judy Evans, and Tammy Hall, who made it possible for Rachel to stay in her own home. To Mandy, Wayne, and LeLe Maske and all the staff at Fairfield Manor that provided a loving home away from home, and to the Nurses, CNAs, Physical Therapist, and all the staff at Autumn Care.
