Mrs. Rachel Tucker Porter, 94, of Peachland passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.  Born June 27, 1930, in Anson County, she was the daughter of the late Vance Tucker and Fannie Sikes Tucker.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Melvin in 2011 and a son-in-law, Al Griffin.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Rachel will be 3 PM Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Peachland United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 in the church's multi-purpose room and again at the graveside.

Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Michael Porter (Debbie), Richard Porter (Kim) and Gary Porter (Wanda); daughter, Phyllis Griffin; 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren.

The family requests no flowers.  Memorials can be made to the Peachland UMC or Mineral Springs Baptist Church cemetery fund.
