Mr. Ralph B. Turner, 83 died Tuesday at CMC-Union. Born March 6, 1931 in Marshville, he was a son of the late Jap and Beulah Brewer Turner. Ralph provided for his mother, father and grandparents tending to all their needs like cooking meals. One of his special meals was Oyster stew on Saturday nights. He was founder/owner of New Salem Feed Mill. He showed his love for his dogs and animals by the tender care that was provided for them. He loved to travel and help others. A crafty woodworker, he made many things and gave them to family and neighbors. He loved to garden, always growing more than needed so as to have plenty to share with others in the community. He volunteered to serve his country in the US Air Force where he saw action in the Korean War. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 am from the graveside of Olive Branch Baptist Church.
Mr. Turner is survived by a son, Andy Turner of Charlotte; a sister, Florence Turner of Charlotte; his friend, Faye Hinson of Marshville.
