Marshville – Mr. Raymond Anthony Patterson, 66 passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Atrium Health in Concord.  Born March 13, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Thelma Wallace Patterson.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, Thomas and Rodney Patterson and a sister, Donna Patterson Carpenter.

Raymond was a US Vietnam war veteran, where he was a paratrooper.  He received the national defense service medal, the parachute badge, sharpshooter M-16 medal and good conduct medal.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Raymond will be held at a later date in Salisbury National Cemetery.

Survivors include brother, Robert Patterson; sister, Kathleen Patterson Fatih (Gihat), Cynthia Patterson Doughty and Vivian Patterson Dupee; several nieces and nephews.
