Richard Thomas Sistar, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at CMC - Main. Born October 15, 1934, he was a son of the late George Washington Sistar and Mary Alice Sistar. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Christine; brothers, Eddie and Ervin Sistar and daughter-in-law, Denise Sistar.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday at the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Unity A.R.P. Church in Lancaster, SC. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 pm at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.
He is survived by sons, Richard E. "Gene" Sistar and his wife Betty of Marshville, James H. Sistar of Monroe and Thomas Jeffrey Sistar and wife Annette of Marshville; daughters, Teresa High and husband Billy of Marshville and Carolyn Carpenter and husband Roger of Peachland. Brother, Parley Sistar of Lancaster; 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
