Mr. Roy Robin "Rob" Yow, 56 of Matthews, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at his home.  Born April 17, 1965 in Union County, NC he was a son of Doris Whitley Helms.

Rob played the piano and other musical instruments.  As a child, he was wonderful, he never got into trouble at school or anywhere else.  He attended Tabernacle Christian School and loved it.  He attended Forest Hills High School and loved his teachers.  When he graduated from high school, he left to go to the beach to work at the Baptist camp, named Camp Caswell.  He played and sang songs and did a variety of games with the children.  He was very dedicated!  When he came home, he attended Wingate University and continued Christian work.

When he called home, he would almost always say: Hi Mom, it's a beautiful day". Rob was in such pain from the top of his head to the end of his toes from having 3 different strokes.  He had an implant from his brain down to his waist line.  He will surely be missed by all that knew him.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Rob will be 11 AM Friday at Deep Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends follow the graveside.

Mr. Yow is survived by his mother, Doris Whitley Helms (Brack); sister, Deborah Ann Hall (Harold); nephew, Brandon Hall and Johnathan Hall and a niece, Amanda Noel Hall.

The family suggests memorials made to the Deep Springs Baptist Church, 1908 Deep Springs Church Road, Peachland, NC 28133.
