Marshville – Robbie Bowers, 51, died Saturday morning May 16, 2015 at his home. Born August 17, 1963 in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of Joyce Faulkner Bowers and the late Robert Lewis Bowers, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Lane Bowers; maternal grandparents, Buddy & Geneva Faulkner; paternal grandparents, Emsley & Alma Bowers; maternal uncles, Jack L. Faulkner and Wade L. Faulkner; paternal aunt, Sybil B. Garris; and a paternal uncle, David Bowers.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1pm at the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Faulkner Bowers of Marshville; maternal aunts, Sue Mills, Shirley F. Nixon and Patsy F. Mills; paternal aunts, Jane B. Godwin and Ann B. Craddock; special friend, Robert Dilling and his dog, BJ. Also a adopted brother, Danny Cahoon
Robbie loved fishing, hunting, working on trucks and cars and especially spending time with his dog, BJ. He loved the Lord and his many friends. He was always ready to help anyone in need.
