Mr. Robert L. Edwards, 91, passed away on July the 16 ^th , 2017 at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews.  He was born in Anson County on June the 12 ^th , 1926 to the late Lee Roy and Vada Thomas Edwards.  He was a retired farmer.  He was preceded in death by his grandson Taite Edwards.

Graveside Services will be 10am Wednesday in the Caudle Family Cemetery, 2212 Hwy 218, Polkton, NC.  The family will greet friends following the service.

He is survived by his wife Ann Edwards of the home.  One son Mr. Perry Edwards and his wife Patti of Marshville.  Two daughters: Mrs. JoAnn Edwards and her husband Warren of Marshville and Mrs. Donna E. Gaddy and her husband Phillip of Peachland.  One sister Ann Helms of Charlotte.  Grandchildren:  Tim Baucom, Stephanie Baumer, Leslie Edwards and Tyler Gaddy. Great-grandchildren: Dax Edwards, Jaxson Gaddy, Anna Claire Edwards, John H. Edwards IV, Daniel Baumer, and Joseph Baumer.
