Dateline - Marshville - Mr. Robert B. Riser, Jr. 68 died Friday evening at the Brian Center in Monroe. Born January 21, 1945 in Orange County Florida, he was a son of the late Robert, Sr. and Kate McBride Riser. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Robert will be held Monday at 11 am from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be on Tuesday at 11 am in the Salisbury National VA Cemetery. Mr. Riser is survived by his wife Shirley Haney Riser of the home; daughters, Robin Whitlock and husband Scott of Huntersville, NC and Katherine Black and husband Joel of Prosperity, SC; grandson, William Ross Whitlock. The family suggests memorial be made to the Liberty Worship Center, PO Box 875, Wingate, NC 28174. Morgan & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Riser.
