Marshville- Mr. Robert Davis Staton 64, passed away on November the 2nd, 2018 at CMC Northeast. He was born in Anson County on April the 28th, 1954 to the late Harold Davis and Christine Smith Staton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Sandra Staton Drye and infant sister Pat Elaine Staton. He was a master mechanic at Hendricks Chevrolet-Cadillac of Monroe. He dedicated his life to God, his family, and friends.
Funeral Services will be 11am Monday at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Oakboro. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday evening from 5pm until 7pm.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ronda M. Staton. His son Karl D. Staton of Wingate. His daughter Mrs. April Rachelle Staton Faura and her husband Christian of Charlotte. Two grandchildren: Kayla Faura and Khloe Faura. His brother Mr. Doug "Pug" Staton and his wife Kathy of Marshville. His sister Mrs. Donna Staton Helms and her husband Tony also of Marshville. His nieces and nephews: Michelle Michael and her husband Bill and their children Colin and Robert, Allison Blandford and Mark and their children Cheyenne, Bailey, Christa and Chad, and Ashley and Greg. Emily Thomas and son Hunter, Elaine and Kevin Kluttz and son William, Andrew Hill and Alecia and daughter Korbynne, Dana Hill and son Jordan, Heather Walker, Joseph Spittle, and Dana Hutto. His two brothers in law: Mr. Ricky Spittle and Mr. Doug Drye. His sister in law Anne Manus.
