Rossie Mae Philemon Williams
Our amazing mother drove out of this world at the age of 98.7 on November 15, 2016. Ritchie, her favorite son-in-law, called her from Heaven to come on up and make a pan of biscuits.
Born April 19, 1918 in Union County, the second of five girls and three boys born to the late Joseph Nathaniel and Julia Ann Edwards Philemon. Rossie was preceded in death by her husband, John Winford Williams November 16, 1999; three brothers, Travis, Reno and Lewis and four sisters; Mary, Elsie, Jessie and Marie.
Mother was devoted to her children, giving when she had none to give, and working when she had no strength left. Thank you Mom for the sacrifices you made to make sure we could say… "We were loved and had it all".
Rossie is survived by three children, Barbara Mills of Marshville, Brenda Privette of Albemarle, and Steve Williams of Conway, SC; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday by the graveside of Euto Baptist Church conducted by Donnie Thomas, Dale Tarleton and Ed Vaughn. The family will receive friends following the service by the grave.
The family suggest memorials be made to Euto Baptist Church cemetery fund, 6019 Hwy 205, Marshvillle, NC 28103.
