Mr. Charles Roy Thomas, "Rocky", 80, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Hospice House in Monroe.  Born March 24, 1944, in Union County, he was a son of the late Wayne Thomas and Ruth Smith Thomas Griffin.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Chad Roy Thomas, a brother, Ernest Thomas and a sister-in-law, Brenda Thomas.

He loved to spend time with family and friends and liked to build and create many things.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Roy will be 11 AM Friday, March 7, 2025, at New Home Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Fountain Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10 – 10: 45 AM in the church fellowship building.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 59 years, Rae Anne Helms Thomas; son Richie W. Thomas (Michelle); grandsons, Jayden and Logan; many nieces and nephews.
