Marshville - Mrs. Ruby Lee Rushing Ballard, 85, died Friday morning at the Autumn Care Nursing home in Marshville. Born April 6, 1928 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Brady and Nettie Craig Rushing. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bill, two brothers Cecil and Carl Rushing and a sister, Bernice Stancill. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ruby will be held Sunday at 3 pm from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Ballard is survived by a son, Billy Ballard and wife Cheryl of Peachland; daughter, Ann Sutton and husband Marcus of Marshville; brother, Kenneth Rushing of Stallings; sister, Ann Cook of Monroe.
