Marshville – Mr. Samuel George Lee, 83, of Marshville, passed away Wednesday evening at Atrium Health – Union.  Born March 4, 1939 in Anson County, he was a son of the late Roy Lee and Pearlie Mae Britt Lee.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Saundra, and grandson, Brandon.  He loved his family, working on the farm and caring for his horses.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Sam will be 12 noon on Saturday, July 2, 2022 by the graveside of Wightman United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service by the grave.

Mr. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara Allen Lee; 8 children, Teresa, Marty, Cathy, Robin, Angela, Cindy, Sharon and Stevie; sister, Jane; in-laws, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
