Mrs. Sara D. Holmes 53, passed away Wednesday the 28 ^th of December, 2016 at her residence.  She was born on August the 17 ^th 1963 to the late William "Bill" and Rachel Williams Davis.

Sara was known for her generosity towards others, her love for her family, her community and her country.  She was always willing to offer a helping hand and a kind heart to those who were struggling.  In addition to giving everything to her family she spent many hours volunteering with the NRA.  Sara displayed her inner strength and determination during her five year victory over cancer and her positive attitude and courage will be remembered by all who witnessed it.

Memorial Services will be 7pm Tuesday the 3 ^rd of January, 2017 in the Chapel of Morgan & Son.  The family will greet friends following the service.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Mr. Jimmy Holmes.  Her two sons: Mr. Blake Holmes and his wife Stephanie of Marshville and Mr. Grant Holmes and his wife Taylor of Charlotte.  Her grandchildren: Chloe Holmes, William Holmes, Nora Holmes.  Her brother Patrick Davis of Marshville and her sisters Laura Davis of Marshville and Patricia Credeur of Louisiana.
