Dateline – Peachland

Mrs. Sharon Vaughn Underwood, 60, died Monday at Hospice House in Monroe.  Born September 17, 1956 in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Darrell Vaughn and Mary Magdline Hinson Coley.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday from the Oakdale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Griffin Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Underwood is survived by her husband David of the home; daughters, Amanda Raxter and her husband John of Burnsville, Katie Kobersy and husband Mario of Peachland, NC; grandchildren, Taft, Jaxon, Abbigail Raxter and Isobel Kobersy; siblings, Warren Vaughn of Peachland, Johnny Coley of Polkton, Charles Coley of Polkton and Shelia Griggs of Kershaw, SC.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Youth Program at Oakdale Baptist Church, 3304 Hwy 218, Polkton, NC  28135.
