Wadesboro – Starla Renee Ricks, 27, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Atrium Health-Anson.  Born October 14, 1993 in Mecklenburg county, she was the daughter of Chris and Robin Helms Ricks.  She was preceded in death by grandparents, Thelma Knight and Truby and Pinkey Ricks.

The family will have a memorial service on Friday at 4 PM, March 19, 2021 at Temple Baptist Church, 165 Airport Road, Rockingham, NC.  Gathering of friends and family will be Thursday from 1-8 pm at Park's Marsh home, 5800 Gilboa Road, Marshville, NC  28103. Please send all floral tributes to the church.

Survivors include her parents, Chris and Robin Helms Ricks; brother, Christopher Miles (Sarah); aunts, Rhonda Helms Marsh (Emmett) and Judy Akins (Ken), Donna Honeycutt; uncles, Larry Helms (Beverly), Danny Ricks and Mark Ricks (Amy); fiancée, Travis Ghant.
