Marshville – Mr. James Steven Williams, 56, peacefully passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.  Born March 5, 1969, in Union County he was the son of the late Max Leon Williams and Brenda Purser Williams.  He was also preceded in death by nephews, Hunter Williams and Randy Smith, uncles Ned, Ted and George Williams.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Steven will be held at 11 am Monday, April 28, 2025, at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 10-10:45 at the funeral home.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Gracie Smith (Justin); grandsons, Jase and Max Smith; siblings, Debra Smith (Bill), Randy Williams (Dawn), Annette Kiker and Wesley Williams (Tonja); many aunts; nephews, Tyler Williams, Colby Kiker, Payton Kiker, and Blake Williams; long-time companion, Sophia Tarlton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to the charity of donor's choice.

The family would like to thank Via Health Partners Hospice for their kindness and care during Steven's sickness.
