Marshville – Mrs. Sue Neil Simpson Helms, 68, passed away January 15, 2021 at Jesse Helms in Monroe.  Born December 5, 1952 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late William Ellis Simpson and Mary Elizabeth Moore Simpson.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lowell Simpson.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Sue will be 2 PM Tuesday at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

During these times of limiting the numbers for social gatherings, the family respects your concerns of avoiding crowds, so they welcome you to stop by the funeral home on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 1 PM until 3:00pm to pay your respects.  The family will not be present.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Richard M. Helms; son, Richie Helms and his wife Erika; grandchildren, Ava and Ella Helms; sister, Rosemary Adcock; brother, William Larry Simpson.
