Mrs. Sue A. Tomberlin 73, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem on December the 24th, 2017. She was born on August 19, 1944 to the late Fred and Pauline Austin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Mr. Kenneth Austin, and her sister Cassilene Austin. Sue retired as a Branch Manager from Yadkin Valley Bank.
Funeral Services will be 11am Friday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service.
Sue is survived by her two sons: Mr. Scott Griffin and his wife Tammie of Peachland and Mr. Greg Griffin also of Peachland. Her daughter Mrs. Amy G. Davis and her husband Jonathan of Wingate. Her grandchildren: Haleigh Griffin, Audrey Davis, and Paisley Davis. Brothers: Mr. Dykie Austin and his wife Louise of Oakboro, Mr. Jerry Austin and his wife Sheila of Marshville, Mr. Steve Austin and his wife Denise of Marshville and Mr. Eddie Austin and his wife Susie of Marshville. Her sisters: Mrs. Peggy Baucom of Marshville, Mrs. Shirley York and her husband Dwight of Midland and Ms. Kathy Austin of Statesville.
