Mr. Thomas E. Cauthen 63, passed away on July the 15th, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Union County on December the 1st, 1951 to the late James Harold Cauthen and Lola Horne Cauthen Hildreth. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and will be buried with military honors. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother James Ray Cauthen and his sister Joyce Cauthen.

Funeral Services will be 11am Friday at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail East Campus. Visitation will be 6pm-7:30pm Thursday at Morgan & Son Funeral Home of Marshville. Interment will be in the Deep Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Dr. Lori R. Cauthen. Two sons: Cody Cauthen (Russ) of Mint Hill, and Christian Cauthen of Peachland. His daughter Brittany Carlson of Wichita, Kansas. His mother Mrs. Lola H. Hildreth of Marshville. One brother; Mr. Lanny Cauthen of Monroe. Five sisters: Jane Mills of Marshville, Helen Griffin of Wilmington, Linda Herring of Peachland, Ann Handy of Monroe and Shirley Robinson of Marshville.

The family has requested that memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 Roosevelt Blvd. W., Monroe, NC 28112.
