Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Dwayne Tucker was born December 1, 1969 to parents Hugh and Judy Tucker of Marshville.

Tony earned his associates degree in Computer Programming at Anson Community College and had a long, successful career in the I.T. field.

Music was a big passion for him throughout his life. He played drums in the Forrest Hills High School band. He played bass in multiple bands and also played guitar and keyboards. He loved discussing and listening to music, his favorite was '90s rock. He enjoyed watching football and pulled for the Panthers (and the Raiders, if the Panthers weren't playing well). He also adored movies of all kinds. One of his favorite activities was going to the movie theater.

He deeply loved his family and their happiness was always his number one goal. He was the go-to person if you needed wisdom or just a listening ear; he always provided a balanced perspective. He was known for getting into deep conversations about a wide range of topics. He was curious and never stopped wanting to learn. And while he had strong core values, he was diplomatic and genuinely saw every side to the story.

For 6 years, he courageously fought his battle with kidney cancer with dignity. On March 13, 2022, he peacefully transitioned in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife Niki Beal Tucker; mother Judy Griffin Tucker; sister Jennifer Tucker Anton; daughter Megan; son Joshua.

Services will be private, please keep Niki and the family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Morgan & Son is honored to serve the Tucker family.
