Mrs. Vivian James Smith, 86, passed away on January the 13 ^th , 2017 at CMC Union.  She was born in Union County, NC on May the 6 ^th , 1930 to the late Homer and Letha Helms James.  She was a retired seamstress.  She was preceded in death by her husband of over 65 years Mr. David Eugene Smith.

Funeral Services will be 11am Monday the 16 ^th of January, 2017 at Fairfield Community Baptist Church.  The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall.

She is survived by two daughters: Mrs.  Kathy Whitesides and her husband David, and Sherry Keziah and her husband Ed all of Marshville.  One sister Mrs. Doris Jones of Polkton.  Her grandchildren: Chris Horne and his wife Anjeanette, Emily Selvidio and her husband Keith, Eric Faulkner and his wife Sylvia, Lauren Borgersen and her husband Kurt, and Ben Keziah.  Her great-grandchildren: Shane & Wyatt Borgersen, and Lucas Selvidio.
