Wingate – Mrs. Wanda Moore McWhorter, 61, of Wingate, passed
away
Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Atrium Health in Monroe. Born October 18, 1960 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late William Emmett Moore and Adela Simpson Moore Nevison. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carla Jill Daniel, siblings, Buddy Moore, Tim Moore and JoeAnn Moore Griffin.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Wanda will be 1 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-12:45 in the church fellowship building.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Eric McWhorter; daughter, Lori Haigler (Kevin), grandchildren, Justin and Katelyn Collins; sisters, Kathy Moore, Jane Moore Griffin, Martha Moore.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials made to Ronald McDonald House – Durham, via their website.
