Wanda D. Phillips Ross passed away in Tucson, Arizona on November 9, 2017 following a courageous 10-month battle with cancer.
Wanda was born on May 20, 1938 in Kyle, WV to Terry and Elsie Phillips.
After graduating from high school, Wanda worked for the F.B.I. in Washington, D.C., where she met Charles Bruce Ross. They were married on August 31, 1957 and moved to North Carolina in 1961 where he completed his college education and she began her career as a legal secretary. She retired in June, 2017, from the law firm of Shultz & Rollins in Tucson, where she had worked since 1988.
Wanda was pre-deceased by her husband, her parents, her in-laws Charles and Ruby Ross, brother Howard Phillips, sisters Edith Reed and Doris Walker, and daughter-in-law Terry Lapaglia Ross.
Wanda is survived by her son Michael Ross; daughter Terri and son-in-law Chris Nicolosi; grandchildren Brooke Ross, Sophie (Nicolosi) and husband Austin Colello, Louis Nicolosi, Matthew Nicolosi, and Shayla Butcher-Sliffe; brothers Alan, Jim and Tom Phillips; sisters Nancy Maddox and Faye Butcher; brothers-in-law Joe Maddox and Jim Butcher; sisters-in-law Christine, Dorothy and Beatrice Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Monday, November 20, 2017 at Fountain Hill United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at noon in the fellowship building.
