Peachland - Mr. Coit Wayne Davis, 70, passed away Friday the 29th of January, 2021 at Atrium Health in Monroe. Born on June 15, 1950 in Union County to Frances Williams Davis and the late Cecil Coit Davis.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Terry Edwin Davis.

Wayne graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1968 and began his career in logging and truck driving with his father's logging operation, Davis Logging. He continued to drive a log truck after his father retired until his health would no longer allow him.

He served in the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged. He was a member of Peachland United Methodist Church and enjoyed mission trips with the Baptist Men and Woodmen of the World.

Memorial graveside services will be held 2pm Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Peachland City Cemetery.

During these times of limiting the numbers for social gatherings, the family respects your concerns of avoiding crowds, so they welcome you to stop by the funeral home on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 1pm until 3pm to pay your respects.  The family will not be present.

In addition to his mother, Wayne is survived by brothers, Mr. Larry Cecil Davis and his wife Sharon of Monroe and Mr. Jeffrey Alan Davis and his wife Lisa of Peachland; sister, Mrs. Karla Ranette Davis and her husband Melvin Furr of Peachland; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Peachland City Cemetery, 1642 Upper White Store Road, Peachland, NC  28133.
