Dateline – Marshville

Mr. Clifford Wayne Griffin 64, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his home in Marshville.  Born January 27, 1952 in Anson County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Thelma McRae.  He was also preceded in death by three sisters and 10 brothers.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday January 15, 2017 at the Austin Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.  The family will greet friends from 2-3 PM on Sunday in the church sanctuary.

Wayne is survived by his daughters, Lindsey Reeves and her husband Marty of Monroe and Amanda Griffin of Monroe and her friend Matthew Tucker of Marshville; sister, Sylvia Faw of Lenoir, NC; brothers, Tommy Griffin of Marshville and Bill Sellers of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Michael Smith and James Smith.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Baptist Children's Home, 2401 Idol Street, Thomasville, NC 27360
