Polkton – Zondra Wilson Herring, 56, passed away Thursday March 5, 2015 at Autumn Care Marshville.

A memorial service will be held 2:30pm Saturday March 7, 2015 at Rose Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 214 North Marietta Street, Pageland, SC 29728.

Mrs. Herring was born August 3, 1958 in Santa Barbara, California, a daughter of Alfie Russell and the late Wayne Mussar. She worked over 19 years for the North Carolina Prison System in Food Services. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Wilson and a special longtime companion, Joe N. Watts, Sr.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three daughters; Kenzee Southerland and husband Tim of Marshville, NC, Brandy Funderburk and Jessica Herring both of Polkton, NC, a sister, Maggie Phifer and husband Mack of Wallace, SC, five grandchildren; Claudia Faulk and Ellie Southerland both of Marshville, Willow Funderburk, Jayda Gullage, Raylynn Helms all of Polkton. Also surviving are her long time companions Joe's children; Joey Watts, Bill Canipe and Kelly Ratliffe.
